Life Balance Counseling Services
Anyone who struggles with addiction, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, post traumatic stress, or any experience of overwhelming emotion, can relate to a sense of imbalance. Often times the strategies that were once used for coping (avoidance, self-medication, self- harm, isolation, impulsive behavior) create consequences that fuel the issue. At Life Balance, we help you break the cycle by developing strategies to identify and manage emotional distress, and promote health and progress.
Working with emotional turmoil, however that presents itself. Ranging from depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and co-occurring personality obstacles to grief processing and other transitions.
Whether there was an isolated experience to a traumatic event or chronic trauma for an extended period of time, working with our brain's threat response can improve daily life.
Addictions are developed after the brain is repeatedly exposed to something excessively pleasurable. Well, pleasurable at first. The brain can be rewired to not be addicted, all due to neuroplasticity.

“My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humour and some style."
“All the suffering, stress, and addiction comes from not realizing you already are what you are looking for.”
